Synaesthesia

Synaesthesia is the crossing of the senses; seeing what you hear, hearing what you smell, and tasting what you touch. It was with this in mind that we created a system of sensory exchange and translation for this project. Synaesthesia was a group project performed by the class. The concept was to create a system of synaesthetic feedback which would transform the environment into an active space for multiple senses. The class divided into three groups; audio, visual, and tactile. Input was collected by each of the groups in the form of their sense, and sent as numeric data to the other groups across the network for transposition.
